Frequently asked questions

We understand you may have questions about our support. Below, we've answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help you.

How can Inspire support my client with alcohol and drug support in West Northamptonshire?

Inspire offers a broad range of alcohol and drug support for adults and young people across West Northamptonshire. This includes harm‑reduction guidance, clinical treatment options, one‑to‑one sessions, workshops, and online support. We take the time to understand your client’s goals and match them with the most appropriate support pathway, whether that’s alcohol support, help with drugs, structured treatment or safer‑use advice.

What information do I need to provide when making a professional referral?

We keep the referral process straightforward. When you refer someone for alcohol and drug help, we’ll ask for basic contact details, any relevant safeguarding information, and a brief outline of what prompted the referral. Your client doesn’t need to have a specific level of need — we support people at all stages. Once we receive the referral, we’ll contact the individual directly to arrange their first session.

Can I refer a young person for specialist alcohol or drug support?

Yes. Inspire provides dedicated alcohol and drug support for children and young people across Northampton, Daventry and the wider West Northamptonshire area. Our youth team offers one‑to‑one support, outreach work, vape prevention work, harm‑reduction advice and educational workshops. We also support professionals working with young people by offering guidance, consultation and clear pathways into tailored services.
