Inspire family interventions, provided through Family Support Link, offer dedicated, confidential support for friends, families and significant others affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use.
What support is available?
Adult support
We offer a confidential space where you can talk about your loved one’s alcohol or drug use, with up to eight supportive sessions held fortnightly. Your dedicated worker will take time to understand what you need and provide calm, personalised support to help you feel more supported and less alone.
Children and young people support
We offer one-to-one support for children and young people aged 5 and above who are affected by a family member’s alcohol or drug use, with tailored sessions often held in school. Each child works with the same support worker throughout, ensuring steady, needs‑led care that helps them feel understood and supported.
Education and resources
Our education and resources are here to support friends and family affected by a loved one’s substance use. We can help you understand the challenges they may be facing, to support you navigating difficult situations.

Family Support Link has been providing group and 1:1 support to families and friends affected by someone else’s drug and alcohol use within Northamptonshire since 2007, in addition to support for parents who use substances, and education and advocacy with other organisations.
